How is Bulgaria’s past remembered—and by whom?
This interactive scholarly conversation explores how memory culture in post-socialist Bulgaria has been reshaped by changing political and social realities. The speakers will discuss celebrated and forgotten pasts after socialism, with examples from revived traditions, public commemorations, and protest movements—placing them in the context of today’s highly dynamic political climate, just months before another snap election.
